The recent IBM intranet environment has been drastically improved through the introduction of Web 2.0 and social network features. The intranet employee search system known as "BluePages" has changed from a static content search tool to become both dynamic and powerful. It provides powerful assistance in employee's social network construction by providing enhanced features such as profile modification by employees, folksonomy of employees, and an improved user interface using Ajax. Development of the next generation intranet employee search system called "Bluepages+1" is still underway as part of the Technology Adoption Program (TAP) and feedback is collected from employees in a Web 2.0 style. TAP also contains many innovative projects. This article describes both the TAP tools which are actually used on the IBM intranet and TAP itself.
