Using the Latest Mashup Technologies and Developing a Very Convenient Relocation Support System
Fairyware Co., Ltd. (hereafter, Fairyware Co), a venture corporation located in Hokkaido, has developed a very convenient prototype relocation support system called "Relocation Explorer" that uses the latest mashup technologies. Relocation Explorer provides an interface by which families planning on moving up from other prefectures to Hokkaido are
able to search for the areas best suited to their individual needs, and provides support for migrants in their selection of candidate locations as well as acts as a promotion tool for the regions.
This project has been promoted with the goal of demonstrating development using the IBM Mashup Center V1.0 as part of the IBM jStart Program, which is designed to provide technological support for development projects using the latest technology, and counts some 30 companies around the globe as participants, starting with Boeing in the United States. In Japan, the Relocation Explorer released in advance gained high evaluations from IBM Corporation, and is planned to be introduced as a world-wide case.
